Almost every successful person begins with two beliefs; the future can be better than the present and I have the power to make it happen. As a psychotherapist, my passion in life is helping people succeed. By seeking professional guidance, you're taking the first step towards creating a better future. I work primarily with young adults and families by helping them address life's challenges so they can have a better understanding of their own needs and how to work towards positive change.
I believe that the key to successful therapy is the therapeutic relationship. By taking a nonjudgmental and empathetic approach, I work collaboratively with each client to create an individualized, solution-orientated treatment plan that fits your goals.
Every step in my journey to becoming a psychotherapist has contributed to my expertise. I began my career in the field of Education where I spent over a decade as a middle school teacher, middle school counselor, and high school counselor. In addition to maintaining a full client caseload in private practice, I preserve my connection to the world of education by teaching graduate courses online for Texas Women's University in Denton, TX and Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.

I treat a variety of  issues including relationship and communication issues, depression, anxiety, anger management, adjustment and phase of life issues, ADHD, self-esteem, sexual abuse and divorce.
